Update on 9/20/2008: Butters is back online now, but will be taken offline again on Sunday due to a scheduled network outage from the provider.
If you live under a rock (or don’t live in America), you may not have heard about the tiny little hurricane called “Ike” that is about to do its best to decimate Texas. Coincidently, Ganymede is hosted in Texas. The good news is that of the two cities our provider has datacenters in, we’re further from the coast.
Either way, there is a good chance Ganymede may experience outages over the next few days due to extreme weather.
Update: Ganymede never lost power or connectivity during the hurricane, although it was removed from the network as a precaution. It has been reconnected.

Due to issues beyond our control. We’ve been having network problems that have gone unattended. Mostly due to personal-life problems going on with each of the head admins.
I personally have been unavailable due to internet issues. I recently moved to the middle of no-where Nebraska. Only means of internet usage: Tether to my cell phone or 28.8kpbs Dialup. So I appologize in advanced for any issues that have come up with the network instability. I’m currently busting my butt trying to get everything stable again. We are currently rerouting users due to multiple networking problems that hit us simultaneously.
Users on servers other than Ganymede and Wolverine may notice recurring outages, or be unable to connect. As always, irc.mozor.net will connect you to an active server.
Service to butters has been restored.
Due to a little nasty InspIRCd bug, we have the following servers offline due to sync issues.
Servers are expected to return tomorrow evening.
Update: Everything is relinked, still monitoring the bug situation. Butters completed the upgrade as well.
