Ganymede

In order to help with routing issues, Ganymede will be going offline permanently today. If you actively connect to this server, please use irc.mozor.net. If you have a BNC account on Ganymede, please send me a memo so I can make sure to get you setup elsewhere.

IPv6 DNS Changes.

I’ve went ahead and switched the way our round robin worked previously. If you wish to connect with IPv6 you will need to connect via ipv6.irc.mozor.net.

[Resolved] Services Currently Down

Our services are currently down due to provider disk failure. We are hoping that everything will be restored by tomorrow.

Thank you

Edit: Everything is back to normal. Nothing was lost!

Network Overhaul – First Week of October

Due to various circumstances we are required to do a major network overhaul. Over the last month we’ve been unable to fully maintain our servers due to me being out of state on personal business.

We will be taking servers offline (Ganymede  & Surge in particular) with a few of our servers being “backup IRCds” which will only be turned on when needed.

Various issues that we’ve been facing over the last month and a half: InspIRCd timeout bug that stops servers from fully syncing (Fixed in latest Insp version). Memory issues with our hub (Soon to be upgraded). and the major problem is our routing between servers. (Looking into alternative solutions)

Thank you all for understanding
Special thanks to David Pache for all of his hard work

Butters [Updated 9/20]

Butters has been taken offline because of hardware issues.

Update on 9/20/2008: Butters is back online now, but will be taken offline again on Sunday due to a scheduled network outage from the provider.

[Resolved] Krush

Krush is offline due to provider network issues. If you are a CGI:IRC user, you will not be able to connect. Please feel free to use our Mibbit widget in the meantime.

[Resolved] Potential Ganymede Downtime

If you live under a rock (or don’t live in America), you may not have heard about the tiny little hurricane called “Ike” that is about to do its best to decimate Texas. Coincidently, Ganymede is hosted in Texas. The good news is that of the two cities our provider has datacenters in, we’re further from the coast.

Either way, there is a good chance Ganymede may experience outages over the next few days due to extreme weather.

Update: Ganymede never lost power or connectivity during the hurricane, although it was removed from the network as a precaution. It has been reconnected.

Network Problems

Hello Everyone,

Due to issues beyond our control. We’ve been having network problems that have gone unattended. Mostly due to personal-life problems going on with each of the head admins.

I personally have been unavailable due to internet issues. I recently moved to the middle of no-where Nebraska. Only means of internet usage: Tether to my cell phone or 28.8kpbs Dialup. So I appologize in advanced for any issues that have come up with the network instability. I’m currently busting my butt trying to get everything stable again. And if there is an emergency that takes place and you need to contact me please do so by emailing me: zach@mozor.net.
